Some announcements are worth celebrating, and being named an OpenTable Diners’ Choice winner for 2025 is one especially close to our hearts. We’re incredibly proud that Factory 51 has earned this recognition, and the best part is where it came from: not critics or judges, but our diners. Your feedback, loyalty and genuine support brought us here, and we’re beyond grateful.
What is the OpenTable Diners’ Choice Award?
Each year OpenTable compiles thousands of verified reviews to spotlight the most-loved restaurants across Australia. Diners rate their experiences on food, service, ambiance and overall satisfaction, and only the top-rated venues earn the Diners’ Choice title. What makes it meaningful is that it’s driven entirely by real guest feedback, no panels, no PR, just people who dined and shared their honest impressions. For us, it doesn’t get more rewarding than that.
Why this recognition matters
Running a restaurant is a passion and a commitment, from early prep shifts to the last table of the night. This award shows that effort isn’t only noticed, it’s valued, in an industry where trends come and go. Just as importantly, it reflects the community we serve, the people who’ve chosen to celebrate birthdays, engagements, anniversaries and midweek catch-ups with us. That trust means everything.
What keeps diners coming back
Guests often tell us it’s the combination of food, service and atmosphere. Our handmade pasta starts with a long fermentation that builds flavour, then we hand-shape every piece and pair it with sauces that let quality ingredients shine, from duck ragù to crab and coral trout ravioli. Our woodfired pizza runs on 72-hour fermented dough, stretched to order and fired in our imported Forno Bravo oven for an airy, crisp, blistered crust. And our antipasti, truffle arancini, Sicilian-style braised octopus, shared boards of house-cured meats, are a relaxed, generous way to start.
A space that feels personal
Factory 51 sits inside a restored red-brick warehouse in Coorparoo, with chandeliers, exposed timber and the scent of simmering sugo and woodsmoke in the air, welcoming, stylish and full of heart. Our private Workshop room (seating up to 156) is a rustic-chic setting for weddings, birthdays and functions, with AV and warm lighting; see our function venue guide for the details.
A shared achievement
Awards like this aren’t won by accident, they’re the result of real people giving their best. Our chefs, kitchen hands, servers, bartenders and event staff bring passion to every service, and our community has played an enormous role: sharing experiences online, inviting friends and filling the room with laughter and clinking glasses. That’s what makes this win feel so shared.
