The Workshop Function Room
Factory 51 is a restored red-brick warehouse in Coorparoo, just 12 minutes from the Brisbane CBD. The Workshop is the venue’s dedicated private function room, accommodating up to 150 seated guests or 180 cocktail-style. Furthermore, the space features a Maria Theresa crystal chandelier, festoon lighting, exposed steel beams, polished concrete floors, handmade timber tables, and a striking jade green marble bar.
Importantly, the room works beautifully without excessive styling. Some groups add florals or bring a live band, while others leave the space largely untouched. Either way, the venue naturally carries the atmosphere of the night.
Capacity and Layout
The Workshop comfortably seats up to 150 guests for long-table shared dining or formal alternate-drop service. Meanwhile, cocktail-style events can accommodate up to 180 guests with ease.
The layout can also be configured for presentations, award nights, networking events, and corporate functions. In addition, the ceiling-mounted AV system, wireless microphone, and sound-engineered room help eliminate the need for outside equipment hire or complicated event setup.
The Food
Every pasta and gnocchi is made in-house daily using the same kitchen that operates the restaurant throughout the week. In fact, the team behind Factory 51 also operates VEDE Pasta, Queensland’s leading fresh pasta producer.
Shared feasting menus, antipasti, wood-fired pizza, and canapé packages are all available for events. As a result, the food becomes a genuine highlight of the experience rather than simply an added inclusion.
The Service
One dedicated coordinator manages each booking from the initial enquiry through to the event itself. Consequently, setup, run sheets, dietary requirements, and vendor coordination are handled behind the scenes.
This approach allows organisers and guests to relax and enjoy the occasion instead of managing logistics throughout the night.
No venue hire fee applies. However, minimum spend requirements apply. Office hours are Tuesday to Saturday.
Function Packages
Menus
All pasta and gnocchi is made in-house daily. Function menus are centred around Italian shared feasting, including antipasti, handmade pasta, wood-fired pizza, and sides served down the centre of the table. As a result, the format naturally encourages conversation and creates a more social atmosphere throughout the event.
For more structured occasions, alternate-drop menus and cocktail-style canapé packages are also available. In addition, day delegate packages can be arranged for corporate events requiring a working lunch format. Meanwhile, late-night wood-fired pizza remains a consistent favourite for longer celebrations and end-of-year functions.
Beverages
The marble bar features Australian and Italian wines, craft beers on tap, and a curated spirits selection. Furthermore, guests can choose between all-inclusive beverage packages or flexible bar tab options depending on the style of the event.
The Factory 51 team will also guide organisers toward the most suitable beverage format for both the event structure and overall budget.
Pricing
Factory 51 operates on a minimum spend model rather than charging a traditional venue hire fee. Consequently, your budget contributes directly toward food, beverages, and the overall guest experience instead of simply securing the room itself.

Factory 51 regularly hosts client dinners, product launches, end-of-year celebrations, networking events, and CPD evenings. The built-in AV setup easily supports presentations and branded content, while the Italian shared feasting format helps create a relaxed and engaging atmosphere for guests.

Birthday Parties
The Workshop is well suited to milestone birthdays, including 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, and beyond. Whether hosting an intimate dinner for 20 guests or a cocktail-style celebration for 180, the venue adapts comfortably to different event styles and formats.
