Wedding Venue South Brisbane — Factory51, Coorparoo
If you’re searching for a wedding venue in south Brisbane, Factory51 is closer than you think. Housed in a converted industrial building at 51 Holdsworth Street, Coorparoo — just five minutes south of the CBD — Factory51 is one of south Brisbane’s most distinctive wedding venues in Brisbane. Exposed brick, polished concrete, festoon lighting and a signature crystal chandelier, all tucked into a private laneway in the inner south.
A South Brisbane Wedding Venue That Doesn’t Feel Like Every Other Venue
Most couples searching for a south Brisbane wedding venue end up touring the same handful of function rooms. Factory51 is different. It’s a genuine warehouse — a former industrial building that’s been transformed without being sanitised. The bones are original: the brick walls, the steel beams, the concrete floors. What’s been added is warmth: handmade timber furniture, a chandelier, festoon walls, and an in-house Italian kitchen that makes food a genuine part of the night.
The Workshop at Factory51 is a private, self-contained event space. Your ceremony and reception happen in the same building, your guests never need to leave, and the catering never leaves either — everything is made on-site by the Factory51 kitchen team. It’s a ceremony and reception venue in Brisbane that keeps the whole day together.
Where Exactly Is Factory51? (Coorparoo, Inner South Brisbane)
Factory51 sits at the corner of Holdsworth Street and Deshon Street in Coorparoo — a quiet residential pocket in Brisbane’s inner south, less than 4km from the CBD. For couples and guests coming from the southside, the location is ideal. For those coming from the north or west, it’s an easy drive with free street parking in the surrounding streets and a paid carpark nearby.
Suburbs within easy reach include Woolloongabba, East Brisbane, Norman Park, Camp Hill, Greenslopes, Annerley, Tarragindi, Moorooka, and Yeronga. If you’re planning a wedding with guests spread across Brisbane’s south, Coorparoo puts you almost exactly in the middle of where most of them live.
Factory51 is also 10 minutes from the Gold Coast highway corridor — making it a workable choice for couples with family or guests coming up from the south.
What’s Included When You Book Factory51
Factory51 operates on a no venue hire fee model — you pay for food and beverage, and the space comes with the booking. That includes the full furniture inventory, AV system, festoon wall, chandelier, and bar. No hiring a marquee company, no sourcing chairs and tables separately, no AV crew. It’s all in.
The full list is on the venue inclusions page — but the short version is: 18 extra-wide handmade timber tables, 156 chairs, high bars, velvet ottomans, two inbuilt projectors, a commercial sound system, a stocked bar, and two easels. For most weddings, the only thing you’re bringing in is flowers and a celebrant.
Packages for 2026 weddings are available on the 2026 wedding packages page. Factory51 works with cocktail format, long table feasting and hybrid layouts depending on guest count.
Real Weddings at Factory51 — South Brisbane Couples
Factory51 has hosted over 80 documented weddings, many of them with couples from Brisbane’s inner south. The venue’s warehouse aesthetic suits the area — Coorparoo, Woolloongabba and East Brisbane have always had an appreciation for good industrial design, and Factory51 delivers that without the pretension that sometimes comes with heritage venues.
You can browse real weddings at the real warehouse weddings gallery — 80+ documented couples with photographer credits and styling references. A few recent highlights include Micheal & Teagan’s Sunday long-table wedding and Indi & Jeremy’s Friday evening reception, both shot at Factory51 in 2025–26.
